Python library for integrating the Alation API into agentic workflows
This project helps data professionals and data stewards enhance their Alation Data Catalog by allowing AI agents to understand and interact with its metadata. It takes natural language requests related to data assets, governance, or usage and outputs relevant metadata, insights, or even automates curation tasks. Data analysts, catalog administrators, and anyone working with Alation can leverage this to create smarter, more intuitive data experiences.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you want to build AI-powered applications that can search, understand, and manage your data assets within Alation using natural language.
Not ideal if you're looking for a simple data integration tool without any AI agent capabilities or if you don't use Alation Data Catalog.
