This project helps software developers securely connect their AI agents, running on isolated machines or containers, to their local development files, Git repositories, and custom command-line tools. It takes a developer's grant of access to specific paths or tools and outputs a cryptographically signed token. This token then allows the agent to interact with the specified resources on the developer's main machine, ensuring fine-grained, time-bound, and audited control without exposing credentials or full filesystem access.
Use this if you are a software developer using AI agents for coding tasks and need to provide them with secure, limited access to your local codebase and tools, without risking your entire system if the agent is compromised.
Not ideal if your AI agent does not require access to your local machine's files, Git repositories, or command-line tools, or if you are not concerned about the security implications of granting broad access to an AI agent.
