hortator-ai/Hortator
A Kubernetes operator that lets AI agents spawn AI agents — with guardrails
This tool helps AI application developers build complex, multi-stage AI agent systems that operate autonomously but within defined safety and cost limits. It takes a high-level task and lets a lead AI agent dynamically break it down into sub-tasks for other AI agents to complete. The output is a fully executed, complex workflow carried out by a hierarchy of AI agents, with results passed between them.
Use this if you need to orchestrate AI agents that can dynamically create and manage sub-agents in a secure, isolated, and budget-controlled environment on Kubernetes.
Not ideal if you're building simple, single-agent applications or prefer static, predefined task flows rather than dynamic, agent-driven decomposition.
