The Lightest Shared Standard for AI Agents
AI coding assistants use different formats for sharing configurations, making it hard to reuse or share custom instructions across tools and teams. This project provides a universal way to define and share AI agent configurations. It uses a single AGENTS.md file and an accompanying .agents/ folder to define rules and skills that any AI coding assistant can understand, enabling developers to maintain consistent behavior and workflows regardless of the tool they're using.
Use this if you are a software developer or team lead who wants to standardize and share AI agent configurations, rules, and skills across different AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
Not ideal if you primarily use only one AI coding assistant and don't need to share configurations with others or across multiple tools.
