Lightweight MicroVM VMM built on Cloud Hypervisor for AI
Cocoon provides a way for operations engineers or AI infrastructure teams to quickly launch and manage lightweight virtual machines. It takes VM images, including OCI and cloud-init formats, and creates isolated, high-performance MicroVMs. The tool is designed for managing virtualized environments, especially when running AI workloads, by allowing fast deployment, state capture, and cloning of VMs.
Use this if you need to rapidly deploy, manage, and snapshot isolated virtual machines for demanding workloads like AI, using either OCI or cloud-init images.
Not ideal if you need a full-featured virtualization management platform with GUI or if you are not comfortable working with command-line tools for VM orchestration.
