Claude Code hooks that auto-switch model tier based on task complexity
This project helps software developers using Claude Code to automatically switch between different Claude AI models (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus) based on the complexity of their coding tasks. It analyzes your prompts to determine if a simple task like Git operations or file lookups (Haiku) or a complex one like architecture design or deep multi-file analysis (Opus) is needed, then either recommends a model or automatically switches to it. Developers are the primary users, allowing them to optimize costs and performance without manual configuration.
Use this if you are a software developer frequently using Claude Code and want to ensure you're always using the most cost-effective and appropriate AI model for your current coding task, from simple renames to complex refactoring.
Not ideal if you prefer to manually control which Claude model you're using for every interaction or if you're not using Claude Code for your development workflows.
