How we built Witan - four months of engineering an LLM spreadsheet agent
This project explores how to build an AI agent that can understand and work with complex spreadsheets, like financial models. It takes in a spreadsheet and a task, then processes the spreadsheet data to produce an answer or a modified spreadsheet. This is for financial analysts, business intelligence professionals, or anyone who regularly needs to extract insights or make changes to large, intricate spreadsheets.
Use this if you need an automated system to interpret, analyze, and manipulate spreadsheet data, going beyond simple lookups to understand the underlying structure and intent.
Not ideal if your spreadsheet tasks are simple, involve only basic data entry or calculations, or if you prefer manual control over every step of spreadsheet interaction.
