Monte Carlo simulation of (4D) cone beam computed tomography
This project helps medical physicists and radiation oncologists accurately simulate 3D and 4D cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. You provide existing CT scans, and it generates realistic simulated CBCT projections and reconstructed images, accounting for organ movement and respiration. This is valuable for treatment planning and understanding image artifacts.
No commits in the last 6 months.
Use this if you need to generate highly realistic, physics-based simulations of CBCT scans from standard CT images, especially for moving anatomies like lungs.
Not ideal if you need a quick, approximate simulation without detailed physical modeling or if you do not have access to CT data.
