Iterate.ai has open-sourced a powerful Weapons Detection AI software. The AI was trained on about 100 live guns, plus 20,000 videos of robberies and threats involving weapons. Our engineers taught the AI to detect guns, knives, kevlar vests, and robbery masks.
This project helps security and operations teams monitor live camera feeds for threats. It takes real-time video streams (RTSP links) from security cameras and identifies weapons like guns and knives, as well as kevlar vests and robbery masks. The output is a web-based dashboard displaying alerts with images and details of detected threats, enabling quick response.
