NMGRL/pychron
Data acquisition and processing framework for Ar-Ar geochronology and noble gas mass spectrometry
This software helps geochronologists and noble gas mass spectrometry labs automate their experiments and process data. It takes raw noble gas data from mass spectrometers and laser/furnace systems, then crunches it to produce reduced Ar-Ar geochronology and thermochronology data products, like age determinations and plots. Researchers at geochronology and noble gas labs are the primary users.
Use this if you are a geochronologist or lab technician needing to control noble gas mass spectrometry experiments, acquire data, and perform Ar-Ar data reduction.
Not ideal if your work does not involve noble gas mass spectrometry or Ar-Ar geochronology workflows.
