This project helps autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) operators automatically identify custom gates or similar structures in underwater imagery. It takes in images of the underwater environment and highlights the detected gate, allowing the AUV to navigate or interact with it more effectively. An AUV developer or researcher would use this for tasks requiring automated underwater object recognition.
