Collection of works in my PhD at Virginia Tech, mostly focused on computer vision and machine learning applications in structural inspection and structural health monitoring.
This project offers tools for civil and structural engineers to improve how they find and monitor damage in structures like bridges. It takes visual inspection data, such as images of infrastructure, and processes it to help identify damage, track its progression over time, and even predict future deterioration. Structural inspectors, civil engineers, and infrastructure managers are the primary users.
