Automatic detection of impervious surfaces

37
/ 100
Emerging

This project helps urban planners, environmental analysts, and municipal authorities automatically identify paved surfaces from aerial imagery. It takes standard RGB and near-infrared digital orthophotos (DOPs) from a Web Map Service (WMS) and outputs detailed maps of impervious surfaces, aggregated by land-use specific areas. This allows for efficient assessment of land sealing without manual surveys.

Use this if you need to generate high-resolution maps of impervious surfaces and their aggregation by land use from aerial photos for urban planning or environmental analysis.

Not ideal if you are looking for an actively maintained solution for remote sensing data processing, as this project is no longer supported.
