Wildfire smoke detection with Faster R-CNN via Pytorch 🔥🚒🧑🚒
This project helps forestry services and emergency responders quickly detect nascent wildfires. It takes images from weather towers or surveillance cameras and identifies early signs of smoke, distinguishing it from clouds. This allows for faster intervention by firefighters or drones, potentially stopping fires before they become large-scale disasters.

Use this if you need an automated system to monitor remote areas for early wildfire smoke detection using visual feeds.
Not ideal if your detection system relies on non-visual data like heat sensors or atmospheric changes, or if you require an extremely robust system for distinguishing smoke from all types of environmental obscurities.
