[JBHI 2025] BS-LDM: Effective Bone Suppression in High-Resolution Chest X-Ray Images with Conditional Latent Diffusion Models
This project helps radiologists and medical imaging specialists enhance their ability to detect subtle lung pathologies by effectively removing bone structures from chest X-ray images. It takes a standard high-resolution chest X-ray as input and produces a 'soft tissue image' where bones are suppressed, making underlying tissues and potential lesions clearer. This allows medical professionals to get a less obstructed view of critical areas within the lungs.
