Text to CAD using LLMs and BadCAD
This application helps designers, engineers, and hobbyists quickly create 3D models using simple text descriptions. You input what you want to build, like "a coffee mug with a handle," and it generates the 3D model code and an interactive 3D view. The output is a downloadable STL file, ready for 3D printing or further design work.
Use this if you need to rapidly prototype 3D models from verbal ideas without diving deep into complex CAD software, especially for physical objects.
Not ideal if you require extremely fine-grained, manual control over every geometric detail or are working with highly organic, artistic shapes.
