This project helps legal, compliance, and engineering teams adopt Large Language Models (LLMs) without compromising sensitive customer data. It acts as a privacy gateway, taking your application's requests, detecting and replacing personally identifiable information (PII) with reversible tokens, forwarding only the tokenized data to external LLMs like OpenAI, and then restoring the original PII in the LLM's response before sending it back to your app. It's ideal for businesses operating in EMEA that need to ensure GDPR compliance while leveraging AI.
Use this if you need to use external LLMs for applications involving customer data, but regulatory requirements (like GDPR) prevent you from sending raw PII to third-party AI providers.
Not ideal if your application does not handle any sensitive or regulated customer data, or if you are already using entirely self-hosted LLMs within your private infrastructure.
