Code for our ICCV 2025 paper "CAD-Assistant: Tool-Augmented VLLMs as Generic CAD Task Solvers."
This tool helps mechanical engineers, product designers, and CAD technicians automate tasks within FreeCAD. You provide multimodal inputs like text descriptions, sketches, drawn commands, or 3D scans, and it generates FreeCAD code to create or modify designs. The output is a functional CAD model or sketch, streamlining repetitive design operations.
Use this if you need to quickly generate or modify CAD designs in FreeCAD using natural language, sketches, or 3D scans, without manually writing complex code or performing repetitive operations.
Not ideal if you prefer to have full manual control over every detail of your CAD software without AI assistance or if you are not working with FreeCAD.
