It takes an end-user's personal OpenAI API key and provides the developer's app with a proxy API key and base URL. This allows developers to build AI-powered features where the end-user covers the cost of their own OpenAI API usage, enhancing security and reducing developer overhead. The end-user persona is an application developer.
