Official repository of the 2025 paper, LLM Economist: Large Population Models and Mechanism Design in Multi-Agent Generative Simulacra.
This tool helps economists, policymakers, and social scientists simulate complex economic systems. It takes in various tax policies and worker characteristics (personas, behaviors) and outputs dynamic simulations of how different agent populations respond to these policies over time. Researchers can use this to study the impact of tax changes, test new economic mechanisms, and understand societal welfare.
Use this if you need to model how a diverse population of individuals might react to different tax policies or economic structures.
Not ideal if you are looking for a simple calculator for personal finance or a tool to analyze historical economic data without simulation.
