RootPainter: Deep Learning Segmentation of Biological Images with Corrective Annotation
RootPainter helps biologists and researchers rapidly analyze large sets of biological images. It takes your raw biological images (like microscope scans of roots) and helps you train a deep learning model to automatically identify and outline specific features. The output is precise segmentation masks and measurements, saving significant manual effort for scientists studying biological structures.
Use this if you need to quickly and accurately measure or analyze features in many biological images using AI, even if you don't have extensive coding experience.
Not ideal if you are working with non-biological images or require highly customized, low-level control over your deep learning model architecture and training process.
