DanteSc03/Machine-Learning-Wave-Predictions
The purpose of this project is to use BigQuery AutoML to build a regression model that predicts significant wave height based on oceanographic data.
This project helps oceanographers or marine operations managers predict significant wave heights based on various oceanographic measurements like current speed, water temperature, and wind speed. It takes your historical ocean data and provides forecasts for wave heights. This can be used by anyone needing to understand future sea conditions, such as for shipping, offshore construction, or coastal monitoring.

Use this if you need to predict significant wave heights using readily available oceanographic data and want to explore automated machine learning solutions or compare them to manual model building.
Not ideal if you require highly accurate wave height predictions with minimal error, as the automated model provided here showed signs of underfitting and was outperformed by a manually tuned model.
