GabeWeiss/google-sorting-demo
Source code (Python, Node.js and Java) for a demo we built which has been shown at a number of conferences, including IoT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona, Google Cloud Next 2019 and Google I/O 2019. Using the Coral Dev Board we show incredible fast machine learning on the edge with minimal power consumption.
This project helps operations engineers and manufacturing specialists automate visual inspection and sorting tasks on a production line. Using a camera connected to a specialized processing board, it identifies objects and their characteristics, then sends signals to mechanical systems to sort them into appropriate bins. The output is a sorted physical product and real-time operational data for a dashboard.

Use this if you need to rapidly deploy an automated visual inspection and sorting system that operates directly on the factory floor with minimal power consumption.
Not ideal if your primary need is for cloud-based large-scale image processing or if you don't require edge device deployment for real-time, low-latency sorting.
