An Affective Platform for AI in an Interdisciplinary Setting
This open-source project provides the blueprint and code to build an expressive robot named Jim. Jim can interpret basic human emotions from facial expressions using a Kinect sensor, and then respond by talking and expressing its own emotions. It's designed for researchers or educators in fields exploring human-robot interaction or artificial intelligence with an affective component.

Use this if you are developing or studying affective AI and want a physical platform that can perceive and display emotions to interact with humans.
Not ideal if you are looking for a pre-built, ready-to-deploy emotional robot, as this project requires significant electronics, firmware, and software assembly.
