DigiForests Dataset Development Kit
This toolkit helps forestry professionals, ecologists, and robotics researchers analyze detailed forest data. It takes LiDAR point clouds from backpack and aerial scans of forests and processes them to identify individual trees, shrubs, and ground, along with specific tree parts like stems and crowns. You can use it to accurately measure tree diameters (DBH) and understand forest structure for ecological studies or robotic navigation.
Use this if you need to extract precise information about forest structure and individual tree dimensions from LiDAR scans for research, forestry management, or developing forestry robotics.
Not ideal if you don't work with LiDAR point cloud data or are looking for tools to manage traditional inventory data like spreadsheets.
