careunix/PyTorch-HighSierra-CUDA-Revival
Revives the last functional CUDA deep-learning stack on macOS High Sierra. NVIDIA CUDA 10.2 + cuDNN 7.6.5 + PyTorch 1.7.0 fully working on GTX Pascal GPUs — a discontinued ecosystem resurrected.
This project helps researchers and developers continue their deep learning work on older Apple computers. It restores the ability to use NVIDIA GPUs for accelerated computation with PyTorch on macOS High Sierra. If you have a Mac from that era with an NVIDIA Pascal graphics card, you can use it to run deep learning models, where you feed in data and get trained models or predictions out.
Use this if you need to run GPU-accelerated PyTorch deep learning models on a macOS High Sierra machine equipped with an NVIDIA Pascal GPU.
Not ideal if you have a newer macOS version, a Mac with an AMD GPU, or a machine primarily for development of new PyTorch features.
