Search for Protein 3D Coordinates in CryoET Tomograms
This tool helps cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) researchers efficiently find and extract specific protein structures within complex 3D cellular images. It takes raw 3D tomograms (microscope images) and outputs identified protein particles, accelerating the analysis of vast amounts of imaging data. Scientists in structural biology and cell biology who work with cryo-ET will find this useful.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need to automate the process of finding and picking protein particles from your cryo-ET tomograms to speed up your research.
Not ideal if you are working with 2D electron microscopy data or if your primary focus is on other types of cellular components besides proteins.
