Microseismic event detection on fiber-optic data using machine learning
This helps geoscientists and petroleum engineers automatically find tiny microseismic events within massive amounts of fiber-optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) data. It takes raw DAS recordings from a shale reservoir and outputs detected microseismic event times and locations. This is for professionals analyzing subsurface fracturing for unconventional reservoir characterization.
