Machine learning and computer vision project that can interpret ASL

Emerging

This project helps people communicate by translating American Sign Language (ASL) gestures into on-screen text and spoken words in real time. You provide live video of signed letters or words using a webcam, and the system outputs what you've signed, both visually and audibly. It's designed for anyone who needs to interpret or learn ASL, or facilitate communication between ASL signers and non-signers.

No commits in the last 6 months.

Use this if you need a real-time tool to interpret individual ASL letters and some common words from a live video feed, with both visual and audio feedback.

Not ideal if you need to interpret complex ASL sentences, a full dynamic ASL alphabet, or a very broad vocabulary, as it currently focuses on letters and specific words.
