This dataset helps geophysicists and seismologists overcome challenges in interpreting surface wave dispersion curves to understand subsurface structures. It provides millions of paired 1D velocity profiles and corresponding surface wave dispersion curves, derived from both synthetic and real-world geological models, for training and evaluating data-driven deep learning methods. Scientists focused on shallow resource exploration or deep geological studies will find this useful.

Use this if you are developing or testing deep learning models for surface wave dispersion curve inversion in either shallow (up to 2.8 km) or deep (up to 300 km) geological contexts.

Not ideal if you are looking for tools to perform the inversion directly rather than a dataset to train models for inversion.
