lukaskapp/InverseRigMapping
Inverse Rig Mapping is a toolset for Maya to map skeletal animation data e.g. mocap data back to arbitrary character rigs using machine learning.
This tool helps 3D animators and character riggers efficiently transfer pre-existing motion capture data or skeletal animation onto any character rig within Maya. You provide the skeletal animation data and define your character rig's controls and joints, and the tool outputs predicted control rig parameters that bring your character to life. This is ideal for animation studios, game developers, or individual animators working with diverse character models.

Use this if you need a flexible and less time-consuming way to map skeletal animation onto various character rigs in Maya without custom scripting or restrictive retargeting setups.
Not ideal if you are working with extremely complex character rigs that go beyond simple control-to-joint correlations, as the model may struggle to learn these intricate relationships.
