This repository contains code that was used to train and evaluate deep learning models, as described in the article "Improving breast cancer diagnostics with artificial intelligence for MRI" by Jan Witowski et al.
This project helps radiologists and medical researchers analyze breast MRI scans more effectively for cancer diagnostics. It takes raw breast MRI data, specifically from the TCGA-BRCA dataset, processes it to identify pre- and post-contrast images, resamples, and reorients them. The output is standardized NIfTI files ready for AI model evaluation, assisting in breast cancer detection and characterization.
