opengeos/qgis-samgeo-plugin
QGIS plugin for the SamGeo Python package
This QGIS plugin helps remote sensing professionals, urban planners, and environmental scientists efficiently identify and outline features like buildings, trees, or roads directly on satellite or aerial imagery. You input a georeferenced image (like a GeoTIFF) and provide text descriptions, clicks, or drawn boxes to specify what you want to segment. The output is precise vector (GeoPackage, Shapefile) or raster (GeoTIFF) masks of those features, ready for further geospatial analysis.
101 stars.
Use this if you need to quickly and accurately extract specific features from high-resolution satellite or aerial imagery within your QGIS workflow.
Not ideal if you primarily work with non-geospatial images or require extremely rapid, large-scale batch processing without human intervention, as some interactive steps are involved.
