This project helps hobbyists and DIY enthusiasts build a smart workbench lamp that automatically tracks and illuminates objects. It takes live video input from a small camera and controls pan-tilt motors to keep a detected hand (and the object it's interacting with) centered in the camera's view, effectively shining a light where you need it. Anyone working with small parts or intricate tasks at a workbench, who often struggles with static lighting, would find this useful.

Use this if you want to build a hands-free, intelligent lighting system for your workbench that follows your hand movements.

Not ideal if you need a plug-and-play solution or if your primary goal is to track very small, non-hand objects with extreme precision.
