Fast CLI tool for bird species detection using BirdNET and Perch AI models
This tool helps ornithologists, conservationists, or anyone monitoring bird populations quickly identify bird species from audio recordings. You feed it sound files or entire folders of recordings, and it tells you which bird species it detected, along with confidence scores and timestamps. This is ideal for wildlife researchers or citizen scientists analyzing field recordings.
Use this if you need to rapidly process large collections of audio recordings to detect and identify bird species, even with optional GPU acceleration for speed.
Not ideal if you need to identify non-bird sounds or require a simple click-and-point interface without any command-line interaction (though a separate GUI is available).
