[IEEE BigData 2022] Dark patterns in e-commerce: a dataset and its baseline evaluations
This project helps identify 'dark patterns' in e-commerce websites – deceptive user interface designs that manipulate customers. It provides a dataset of text snippets from shopping sites, categorized as either dark patterns or normal text. E-commerce platforms, consumer protection agencies, or user experience researchers can use this to automatically detect and flag manipulative language in online retail.
