Chandassu: First Python Library for Global Metrical Poetry
This tool helps poets, literary scholars, and students verify the metrical correctness of Telugu poetry. You provide a Telugu poem as input, and it analyzes the text to determine if it adheres to specific metrical patterns, or "chandassu." The output confirms if the poem fits a particular meter and provides a score indicating its adherence.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need to quickly and accurately check whether a Telugu poem follows established metrical rules like "vutpalamaala."
Not ideal if you are working with poetry in languages other than Telugu or if you need a tool for creative writing assistance rather than metrical validation.
