Semantic subtitle aligner and merger for bilingual subtitle syncing.
This tool helps content creators, language learners, and video editors accurately merge two subtitle files, even if they're in different languages or have timing discrepancies. You provide two subtitle files (like SRT or VTT), and it produces a new, combined subtitle file where lines are matched based on meaning, not just timestamps. This ensures translations or alternate versions align correctly with your video content.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need to combine two subtitle tracks for a video, especially when one is a translation, or if the original timings between your two subtitle files are slightly off.
Not ideal if you only have one subtitle file and need to generate a second language translation, as this tool requires two existing subtitle files.
