A library for working with the OCOD dataset for analysis of property in England and Wales owned by offshore companies
This project helps researchers, journalists, and policy analysts understand property ownership in England and Wales by offshore companies. It takes raw, complex OCOD (Offshore Companies Ownership Data) from the UK Land Registry, cleans it, and enriches it with additional property details. The output is a structured, categorized dataset ready for in-depth analysis and reporting on who owns what.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need to analyze patterns of property ownership by offshore entities in the UK and require clean, detailed, and categorized data for your research or reporting.
Not ideal if you're looking for real-time property transaction data or information on privately-owned (non-offshore company) properties.
