davidemiceli/gender-detection
Determine a person's gender based on his/her first name.
This tool helps you quickly identify a person's likely gender using just their first name, even if the name is misspelled or contains extra characters. You provide a first name (or a full name from which it extracts the first name), and it tells you if it's likely 'male', 'female', or 'unknown'. This is useful for anyone working with lists of names, such as marketers, HR professionals, or researchers.

Use this if you need to categorize individuals by gender based on their first names, especially when dealing with international names or messy text data.
Not ideal if you require 100% accuracy for sensitive applications, as name-based gender detection can sometimes be incorrect or culturally biased.
