This repository publishes notebooks created as part of an analysis of the 2020 COVID-19 crisis onto the economy, performed by a team of data scientists from IBM and Rolls-Royce for Emergent Alliance.
This project helps local authorities, public health officials, and economic strategists understand and respond to regional crises like a pandemic. It takes in various data, including health statistics, news articles, social media feeds, and mobility data, to produce risk indices, sentiment analysis, and economic impact models. The outputs guide decisions on interventions, public sentiment, and sector-specific economic shocks.
