palewire/storysniffer
Inspect a URL and estimate if it contains a news story
Quickly determine if a webpage is likely to contain a news story. You provide a web address, and the tool estimates if it's a news article, helping content curators, researchers, or journalists sort through many links efficiently.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need a quick way to filter a list of URLs to find only those that are likely to be news stories.
Not ideal if you need to extract the full text of a news story or require perfectly accurate classification for every single webpage.
