Framework for working with brat-annotated .ann files
This tool helps researchers and annotators manage and analyze text data annotated with the brat rapid annotation tool. You input brat .ann and .txt files, and it allows you to view annotations in context, generate statistics, compare annotations from different annotators, and convert them to other formats. It's designed for anyone working with manually tagged text, such as linguists, biomedical researchers, or social scientists.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need to systematically inspect, evaluate, or transform collections of text documents that have been annotated using the brat tool.
Not ideal if your text annotations are not in brat's standoff .ann format, or if you primarily need automated annotation capabilities rather than analysis of existing manual annotations.
