trokhymovych/WikiCheck
Implementation for WikiCheck API, an open-source Wikipedia-based fact-checking API. The project is done in cooperation with Wikimedia Foundation and Ukrainian Catholic University.
This project helps fact-checkers, journalists, and researchers quickly verify claims against the vast information in Wikipedia. You input a statement, and it tells you whether that statement is supported by, contradicted by, or not found in Wikipedia's content, complete with evidence. It's designed for anyone needing to rapidly assess the veracity of information.
No commits in the last 6 months.
Use this if you need an automated way to check the factual accuracy of statements using Wikipedia as a reliable source, without manually searching.
Not ideal if you need to verify claims against sources other than Wikipedia, or require a human-in-the-loop fact-checking process.
