HelloThereMatey/tedata
Scraper for Trading Economics
This tool helps economists, analysts, and researchers gather macroeconomic data by downloading historical time-series directly from Trading Economics charts. You input a specific chart's URL or search for an economic indicator, and it outputs the data as an interactive plot, a Python Pandas Series, or an Excel file. This is ideal for professionals who need country-level economic metrics for analysis without paying for a data subscription.
No commits in the last 6 months. Available on PyPI.
Use this if you need to quickly access and download up to 10 years of historical macroeconomic data for specific countries and indicators from Trading Economics charts without an API key.
Not ideal if you require high-frequency data (like daily stock prices) or data series longer than 10 years, as these are currently not supported.
