michaelvin1322/scrapWikiArt
This repository contains two scrapers for wikiart.org. One fetches information and images about artworks and other about artists.
This tool helps art historians, researchers, or educators gather detailed information about artworks, artists, styles, movements, and schools from WikiArt.org. It takes the website's publicly available pages and extracts comprehensive data, including images and descriptions, into organized CSV files. This is ideal for anyone building a dataset for art analysis or educational resources.
No commits in the last 6 months.
Use this if you need to build a comprehensive dataset of art information from WikiArt, including images and detailed metadata, for research, education, or data science projects.
Not ideal if you only need a small amount of information that can be manually copied, or if you require data from sources other than WikiArt.org.
