This project provides real-time access to news articles from hirunews.lk, Sri Lanka's most visited news website. It takes requests for specific news categories, latest updates, or individual articles, and outputs structured data including headlines, full text, images, and categories in both Sinhala and English. Anyone building websites, mobile apps, or data feeds that need up-to-the-minute news content from Sri Lanka would find this useful.
Use this if you need to integrate a live feed of news from Hiru News into your application, website, or data analysis project.
Not ideal if you require news from a broader range of Sri Lankan news sources beyond hirunews.lk or need historical data extending far into the past.
