This project is a Local RAG system built for the NYU Machine Learning course.
This project acts as a personalized study assistant for students enrolled in machine learning courses, specifically those at NYU 6143. By inputting your course lecture slides (PDFs), it creates a chat interface where you can ask questions directly related to the material. The system provides answers with specific slide citations and can generate self-quizzes to help you prepare for exams.
Use this if you are a student in a technical course and want an intelligent, localized tool to review lecture materials, get precise answers to your questions, and generate practice quizzes from your professor's slides.
Not ideal if you need a general-purpose AI chatbot for topics outside of your specific course content or if you prefer to study without interactive Q&A and self-quizzing.
