VirtusLab/llm-tools-mcp
Connect to MCP servers right from your shell. Plugin for simonw/llm.
This tool helps developers connect their `llm` command-line interface to Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. It takes your natural language prompts and, through the `llm` tool, interprets them to interact with services defined in an `mcp.json` configuration file, such as listing files or reading their contents from a server. This is designed for developers who use the `llm` CLI and want to integrate external services for advanced prompting workflows.
Available on PyPI.
Use this if you are a developer using Simon Willison's `llm` CLI and need to extend its capabilities by connecting to external Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to execute commands and access data.
Not ideal if you are not a developer, do not use the `llm` command-line tool, or are looking for a standalone application that doesn't require command-line interaction.
