Exploring the Limits of Low-Resource Neural Machine Translation
This project helps ancient history researchers, Assyriologists, and cuneiform specialists translate Sumerian cuneiform inscriptions into English. It takes Sumerian text as input and produces an English translation, improving accuracy by leveraging a large collection of untranslated Sumerian texts to overcome the scarcity of parallel Sumerian-English examples. This is for scholars and researchers working with historical Sumerian documents.
